Where did my passion for coffee table books come from?

Well there are two real main reasons. Firstly, I can spend hours upon hours upon hours flipping through all types of beautifully illustrated fine coffee table books being inspired by the endless glossy photographs of fashion, interior design and travels from around the world.

Secondly and honestly, I also love the way a stack of books look in a space whether it be the living room, office , bedroom - anywhere. It really speaks a lot about who you are and what your interests are and it is inevitable that your guests will always pick up some of your books you have on display and have a flick through.

So, who am I?

My name is Sarah and I’ve been passionate about interiors and fashion from a very young age. I found myself buying interior magazines long before I even had left school and had my own place! In 2008 I studied Interior Design and started my interior design and fashion blog My First Little Place. For the last 9 years, I have been working in the wonderful and ever inspiring world of luxury retail. This has really developed my love of beautiful things, the art of craftsmanship along with an appreciation for that extremely high level of customer service.

I’ve also known from a young age that one day I would like to start my own business. A business that I am passionate about and that makes me excited about each and every day.

And this is why Our Little Place, A Place for Books was born.
